PRIVACY POLICY
Breadbin — effective July 2026
Breadbin collects no data. None.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.
- No account, no login.
- Your settings, ROMs, disk images and save states live only on your
device.
- Hardware keyboards, game controllers and MIDI devices connect through
Apple's system services. Nothing from them is stored or transmitted
by the app.
Since nothing is collected, there is nothing to share, sell or delete.
THE MODEM
Breadbin can emulate a modem that dials bulletin board systems over the
internet. This is the only network connection the app ever makes, and
it happens only when you ask for it:
- A connection opens when you dial a board — by typing an ATDT command
inside the emulator, or by picking an entry from your own phone book
file.
- It goes to the address you chose. We operate none of these boards and
receive nothing from them.
- What you type in that session travels to that board, exactly as a
real modem would have sent it. Bulletin boards are run by other
people under their own rules — treat a BBS login like any other
account on someone else's computer.
- The connection is plain TCP, without encryption, the same as the
hardware being emulated. Don't send anything over it you would mind
being read in transit.
- Breadbin keeps no log of what you dialled. Your phone book is a plain
text file on your own device that you edit yourself.
