an 8-voice horror synthesizer
free VST3 instrument · macOS / Windows
version 1.0.0 · VST3 + standalone · no installer, no account
Mac
Unzip, then move 055U4RY.vst3 to
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 (your user Library; in Finder
hold ⌥ and open the Go menu). Restart your DAW and rescan plug-ins.
The build is signed and notarized, so macOS asks nothing.
Windows
Unzip, then move the 055U4RY.vst3
folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Restart your
DAW and rescan plug-ins.
Standalone
Both zips also carry a standalone version (055U4RY.app /
055U4RY.exe) that plays without a DAW, from your MIDI
keyboard or the on-screen keys.
055U4RY VST3 is free. Use it, share it, put it on records. It is not for sale: no resale, no bundles, no paid packs.
If it haunts you, support the work — buy the app, with the FX plug-in, for iPhone, iPad and Mac: 055U4RY on the App Store.
Questions, bug reports, feature requests, stuck notes from beyond:
Include your OS, DAW and the plug-in version when reporting a problem.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC".
That is SmartScreen meeting the standalone
055U4RY.exe for the first time; the plug-in itself loads
silently in your DAW. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
Where is the FX plug-in?
The VST3 is the instrument only. The 055U4RY FX insert effect ships with the iOS / Mac app.
Which hosts?
Any VST3 host: Ableton Live, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, FL Studio, Renoise… Logic Pro and GarageBand load AudioUnits, not VST3 — use the App Store version there.
The screen is glitching.
Yes. It is supposed to.
